Learn how to paint in acrylics from talented local artist, Joseph Canto! Joe’s extensive experience as a working artist and in art restoration contributes to his depth of knowledge in methods and materials. You will benefit from his mastery in control of color and value, which is evident in his impressive landscape paintings, as well as develop new skills working from photographs. Come join us as you explore all the possibilities that acrylics have to offer!

Materials List:
16x20 canvas (no canvas board)
Liquitex or Bravo Paint 75ml (or whatever brand you may already have):
Primary and secondary colors and one brown
Liquitex Slow Dri
One brush set
Flat or round ¾ to 10
20/0 bristle fan brush (optional)
Paper or hard pallet
Pallet knives multiple sizes
Small sponge

Instructor: Joseph R. Canto
Joseph R. Canto has lived in the Lehigh Valley all his life. He studied commercial art at NCCC and has his BA from Kutztown University in Art Education. He also studied under Myron Barnstone. Joe has worked as an art restorer, dealing in antique art and has run his own furniture manufacturing business. Right now he is extremely happy helping customers at Bethlehem's Home Depot's paint department and volunteering at Lehigh Valley Health Network running art workshops.
