Allison has been creating art for 25 years, focusing on jewelry techniques for the past 15 years. She received her BFA from Montclair State University in Life Drawing and her MFA from Vermont College in Mixed Media. Her work has been shown internationally in juried and invitational shows and she has taught jewelry and mixed media at various art centers to adults, children and special needs individuals. She is excited to join the teaching artists at The Art Establishment!

Just in time for Mother’s Day, use an ancient fiber technique to create a bird’s nest pendant with silver-filled wire and semi-precious stone “eggs” for your nest. Choose simple colors or come with specific birth months in mind. Make mom, grandma, or anyone else a beautiful celebration of children. Tools, materials and crochet hooks will be on hand to create this piece. Crochet experience is helpful, but not necessary!

Celebrate your little peas in a pod by creating a special pendant for yourself or a special mom in your life. Choose green stones for peas or stones that correspond with a birth month. Learn a herringbone wrapping technique to create the pod using sterling-filled wire. Tools and materials will be on-hand for you to use as you work with your stone.

Create a pair of adjustable rings to fit any finger. Using sterling-filled wire, create one ring with swirls and wraps for a dominant presence, as well as a wrapped rose for more delicate tastes. Tools and materials are provided to create both rings.
